Accreditation Assistance
General practices within this Division are offered support and assistance to fulfill the requirements of the RACGP Standards for General Practices 3rd Edition and become fully accredited.
Assistance is provided by practice visit and the provision of a range of practical resources and advice. Specific advice regarding individual practice issues can be sought from relevant professionals or organisations.
Why undertake accreditation?
The three year accreditation cycle involves ongoing quality improvement activities to be undertaken by practices. Full accreditation provides practices with access to the Commonwealth Practice Incentives Program (PIP).
The public can be assured that any practice achieving full accreditation has demonstrated a commitment to the profession and to continually improving their standards of care.
