Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Centre – Mandurah
GP down south is contracted to staff and manage this new health and wellbeing centre (‘the Centre’). We seek to employ suitably qualified staff members to provide a range of services from this purpose built facility. The Centre has been funded by WA Health to provide medical, dental, nursing, mental health and a range of other services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Peel region.
Aboriginal Health Worker - 0.8 FTE (30hrs per week)
Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement of this position under Section 50D of the WA Equal Opportunity Act. The successful applicant will facilitate access, for Aboriginal community members, to a range of services, work closely with General Practitioners and other health professionals working at the Centre, assist with health checks and work with community health providers to facilitate coordination of services for local Aboriginal people.
