We are looking for a talented team member who can add value to our operations by completing the tasks listed below;
- Provide administrative support to locally based program coordinators, clinicians and the Regional Manager Southwest.
- Assist with referral management by registering new clients and managing client appointments.
- Liaison with other service providers including General Practices.
- Reception duties and general office administration as required.
- Support planning and coordination of events including stakeholder consultation/education/health promotion activities.
- Certificate 3 in Business Administration (preferred)
- Experience working in a health organisation
- Experience with clinical software (advantageous)
- Exceptional customer service skills, both written and oral.
- Exceptional team communication skills.
- Adaptable to change with a flexible attitude and mindset for continuous improvement.
- Able to pick up new software quickly.
- Previous experience in a corporate structure.
- Office 365 skills and experience at an intermediate level
- More than 3 years' experience in an administration role.
- Passion and vision to help others to enable better health outcomes for our clients.

Working as part of the unique Model of Care operating at the Peel Health Hub, you will be supported by a professional administration team, experienced practice nurses, clinical care coordinators, psychologists, social workers and counsellors.

- screening and management: STIs, cervical cancer, breast exams, referral for diagnostic services for breast health issues and osteoporosis.
- sexual and reproductive health services: family planning, counselling, contraception, preconception care, fertility evaluation.
- management and diagnosis of gynaecologic issues: endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual disorders, menopause and ovarian cysts.
- Prenatal and postpartum care for women.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Vocationally Registered (VR)
- Fellowship of RACGP
- AHPRA registration
- Medical Indemnity Insurance appropriate for General Practice in Western Australia
- Medicare Provider Number
- PBS Prescriber Number.
- Current Western Australian Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance
- Current knowledge of principles and practices of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety.
- Knowledge of Best Practice software system.

General Practitioners for Nidjalla Waangan Mia and Peel Youth Medical Service
GP down south operate two GP practices in Mandurah:
Peel Youth Medical Service (Peel Health Hub)
Peel Youth Medical Service is a bulk billing GP practice located within the Peel Health Hub that is developed around a holistic model of care, focusing on young people aged 12-25 experiencing a range of health, mental health, sexual health and AOD issues. We aim to assist through therapeutic relationships based on ongoing care and counselling.
You will be directly supported by a professional administration team, experienced practice nurses, passionate GPs, a mental health nurse, clinical care coordinators, psychologists, social workers and counsellors as well as an Adolescent Physician working on site. Additional support services are located within the Peel Health Hub including child and adolescent mental health (CAAMHS) Alcohol and drug counselling, domestic violence and sexual assault supports, and youth training providers. All services within the Hub work collaboratively within established referral and shared care pathways to ensure people accessing our services receive the best possible support and care.
The Peel Youth Medical Service offers a modern, bright workplace, excellent consult rooms, dedicated nursing support and free parking onsite. It is a 5 minute walk from the Mandurah train station, making the commute very easy and hassle free.
Nidjalla Waangan Mia Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Centre
Nidjalla Waangan Mia delivers culturally sensitive medical services and other health and wellbeing supports to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Mandurah region. The service is a long standing and recognised practice in the local community. Nidjalla Waangan Mia is located next door to the Peel Health Campus and is a 5 minute drive from the Peel Health Hub. The service operates under a holistic shared care model that includes the nurse led Nidjalla Waangan Mia practice, incorporating Care Coordination, Outreach supports, dental, podiatry, sexual health nurse and pediatrician services. You will be well supported and part of a friendly and dedicated team of nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, sexual health nurse, Outreach workers, a Care Coordinator, specialist practitioners and admin staff. The team works closely with community outreach programs and other services in Mandurah, and being part of GP down south has strong referral and support pathways to the services offered at the Peel Health Hub. The service delivers exceptional supports to our clients and the community.

Flexible times and days available.
Opening hours: 8.30 am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Weekends: Closed

Qualifications and Experience
- Vocationally Registered (VR)
- Fellowship of RACGP
- Proven Experience as General Practitioner
- Strong ability to triage and multitask
- Relevant client caseload management experience
- Knowledge and experience of Medicare billing practices
- Understanding of Aboriginal Culture, values, Health issues and Social determinants or willingness to complete cultural awareness training.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to practice according to the RACGP standards
- Current knowledge of principles and practices of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety and how these impact on employment service delivery.
- Clinical experience in an Aboriginal Medical Service.
- Knowledge of Best Practice software systems

Community Member - Clinical Governance Committee
GP down south is a not-for-profit community based organisation providing health and wellbeing services in the Peel and South West regions since 1994.
We are seeking to appoint a community member to join our Clinical Governance Committee. The community member will help the committee oversee clinical governance and quality relating to the health services we provide.
