Why you should consider becoming a Member of the Division
Listed below are the advantages of becoming either a Primary Member or an Associate Member.
Primary GP Membership
Primary membership is available for those GPs who are providing primary, continuing, comprehensive whole person care to individuals, families and the community within the Divisions geographic boundaries. This excludes Rural Registrars and Locums.
Primary GP Membership entitles the GP to:
- vote at all general meetings
- nominate for election as a member of the Board of Directors
- have access to Division services and support including upskilling funds which are reserved for Primary Members who have resided and practiced in the Division for at least 12 months.
- access to Division services and support from our GP Support Coordinators and programs
- have access to the Members only section on the Division website. This area hosts a Bulletin Board and specific members only information.
- receive the quarterly Division Newsletter
- receive the fortnightly "Broadcast" update of current information and notices

Associate Membership
Membership is available to Rural Registrars, Locums and Allied Heath professionals:
Associate Members are entitled to:
- receive the quarterly Division Newsletter
- receive the fortnightly "Broadcast" update of current information and notices
- access to GP CPD events where appropriate
- Rural Registrars in General Practice have access to Division services and support from our GP Support Coordinators and programs (not including upskilling funds)
