2018 3 Tier Youth Mental Health Program - Peel

GP down south delivered the first tier of its 3 Tier Youth Mental Health program on Wednesday, 28th February.


The Honourable Alana Clohesy, opened the program and acknowledged the funding made available by the State Government to GP down south to support the ongoing provision of the 3 Tier Youth Mental Health Program over the next three years.


Tier 1 saw 8 schools and almost 500 year 10 students listen to a presentation by Heath Black, ex Fremantle Dockers football player. Heath shared his ongoing experiences to raise awareness of mental health issues and engage the students in discussions around mental health and available services.


Tier 2 presentations, where Heath and the Peel Youth Medical Service (PYMS) team go out to participating schools, commences on Tuesday 6th March.
