Greg commenced working for GP down south in 2016 at the age of 23. He has been located at Nidjalla Waangan Mia working as the Transport Officer.
Greg approached his manager requesting support to improve his reading and writing skills and was encouraged to contact “Read Write Now” to get some information about their literacy programs and enrolment opportunities. Eva was appointed as Greg’s tutor and every Tuesday they spend an hour working through reading and writing programs.
Greg Nelson was the first ever recipient of #ALW2019 (Adult Learning Week) in Western Australia to win a scholarship towards additional literacy education. The award was presented to Greg by Steve Irons MP at the North Metropolitan TAFE launch in Perth on Tuesday 3rd of September.
We are extremely proud of Greg’s achievements and persistence in realising his ambitions and also to his commitment and loyalty shown towards Nidjalla Waangan Mia and GP down south which is second to none.
