John Nye's Solo Motorbike Ride Around Australia

16/10/2017

Halls Head resident John Nye has completed his epic unsupported solo motorbike ride around Australia.

John left from Mandurah Police Station in the early hours of 12th October 2017, to begin the solo ride around the country to raise awareness and funds for Peel Youth Medical Services and GP down south.
John and his Triumph Bonneville affectionately named ‘Bonnie’, experienced above 40 degree temperatures in the NT, big storms in QLD and the last leg from Albany to Mandurah was a fight against strong winds. On the 26th of October, John and Bonnie returned safely to Mandurah Police Station having covered 14,371km’s in 15 days.

What an amazing effort!!
