Mental Health Week 2018

16/10/2018

The South West Team were represented across the region participating in Mental Health Week activities.
The GP down south Primary Mental Health Team are dispersed throughout Bunbury, Eaton, Collie, Harvey, Warren-Blackwood and Busselton and Mental Health Week is an opportunity to engage with the public and tell people what we do.
Expos were held in Bunbury and Collie and GP down south had some mindful colouring in pages to hand out to the public or they could stop and do a bit of colouring in at the stand.  The teams from Mental Health, Parenting Support Program and Down South Aboriginal Health were on hand to talk to people.
In Busselton we offered free entry to the Busselton Jetty for members of the public to take a wellness walk.  The City of Busselton generously supported the entry fee again this year.  Approximately 20 tickets were handed out to members of the public and the clouds cleared for the 3.6km return walk.
