Mo' for Mental Health

27/12/2020

Luke Johnstone has been on the run since May.  It’s for a good cause though.  He set off for a challenge a month to raise money and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.

The first challenge was a run to Perth and back to Mandurah in 24 hours.  The second challenge was a 24 hour ‘around the bridges’ walk in Mandurah, inviting the whole community to get involved.

We were delighted when Luke chose PYMS as the beneficiary of his fundraising efforts.  He is a passionate young man who is doing his bit to show young people that they are not alone nd there people who will do crazy things to let them know that their life counts and their mental health can improve giving them an amazing life ahead.

Luke’s efforts has resulted in him presenting PYMS with  a $4000 cheque from money raised.

“If I have learnt anything it is tired or not there is not time to lose focus and creating your own motivation/drive is a must to maintain a pace needed to achieve the goal.” Luke Johnston
