New Service in the Peel Health Hub

Services in the Peel Health Hub have just expanded to include a specialist Women’s Health Service.  Allambee has recently expanded its services to include a Women’s Health Service, which is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and well-being of women and people who identify as female aged 16 years or over.

The service is delivered by experienced staff who specialise in women’s health issues and is provided in a supportive and non-judgemental environment to help women improve their overall health and well-being.  The service is delivered in partnership with GP down south and works closely with other healthcare providers to ensure that women receive comprehensive and coordinated care. 

Services Available

Medical Services:
GP and Nurse run clinics addressing women’s health needs such as, but not limited to:

• Screening and management  - STIs, cervical cancer, breast exams, referral for diagnostic services for breast health issues and osteoporosis.
• Sexual and reproductive health services: family planning, counselling, contraception, preconception care, fertility evaluation.
• Management and diagnosis of gynaecologic issues: endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual disorders, menopause ovarian cysts.
• Prenatal and postpartum care for women.

Counselling Services:
Individual and group counselling sessions aimed at supporting women’s mental and emotional health and addressing a range of issues, including:

• Stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and grief and trauma counselling
• Reproductive and sexual health – perinatal mental health support, pregnancy decision-making and infertility.

Health Education:
The service provides education and support for women’s health issues, including healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, exercise and mental health, through workshops, group activities and events.
