R U Ok Day Thursday 13th September 2018

17/9/2018

GP down south staff from across all sites celebrated R U Ok Day on Thursday 13th September 2018, attending community events, schools and holding lunches.
R U Ok Day is an oppotunity to start a conversation with someone who you may have a  feeling needs help.  Often the conversation is avoided due to people being uncomfortable on how to approach a collegue, friend or family member.
You may have noticed that someone you know or care about it isn’t behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or they’re just not themselves. Trust your instinct and act on it.
By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up.
R U Ok Day is also your opportunity to come forward if you yourself need help and have not found the right moment to start your own conversation.
Look forward to 2019 R U Ok Day and attend an event in your community or even start your own!
