Staff have embraced RUOK? Day by organizing lunches and morning tea for their teams and clients. GP down south embrace the ethos of RUOK? Day in many ways. The Busselton team made the most of spring and headed down to the foreshore, while other locations shared lunch and space with clients and colleagues. We have a focus on mental wellbeing through our Primary Mental Health Program, 3 Tier Youth Mental Health Program and the Peel Youth Medical Service. We have endorsed the Equally Well program which recognizes the correlation of mental ill health and poor physical health. The Chronic Conditions Program also work with their clients to ensure that their physical concerns are addressed and holistic care is achieved to mitigate social risks and maximise mental wellbeing. Alongside this, GP down south advocates for staff’s mental well being through the Mentally Healthy Workplace policy. It is a commitment to the mental health of everyone in the organization. So on RUOK? Day and all the other days, we are open to the conversation that could change someone’s life.
GP down south is an exemplary not-for-profit community organisation. We have been providing health and wellbeing services in the Peel regions and the South West of WA since 1994.
